Show DIXIE CLUB FORMED AT B. Y. V. RECENTLY BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY, UNIVERS-ITY, Oct. 30. Students from all southwestern Utah counties met on October 26 and organized a "Dixie" club. Lafayette Terry acted act-ed as chairman, and the following follow-ing officers were elected to lead the club activities for the ensuing ensu-ing school year: Rymond Farns-worth, Farns-worth, Enterprise, president; Rhoda Andrus, St. George, vice-president; vice-president; Ha Gurr, Parowan, secretary-treasurer; Dell Chamberlain, Chamber-lain, Orderville, ahletic rhanager; Melva Mathis, New Harmony, reporter. re-porter. The primary purpose of the club is to foster more contacts and .'friendship among the students stu-dents from southern Utah, and to aid in helping the new students to orient themselves -in the traditions tradi-tions of B. Y. U. and college life. Plans are being made for a full school year of socials, meetings, and programs to accomplish this end. |
