Show DIXIE COLLEGE NOTES This week has been one of the liveliest liveli-est Campaign weeks in the history of the college. Campaigning started Monday wtih Ray Whipple, leader of the 'Sure Fire" party and Clark Frei leader of the "Red Peper" party. Stunts were "pulled off" in Devotional, matinee dances in the afternoon and rallies at night. Candidates for election elec-tion were nominated Wednesday morning morn-ing by both parties as follows: Sure Fire Chief Commissioner, Ray I VTnipple; Business Manger, La Vera McArthur; Debating Manager, Maurice Maur-ice Miles; Commissioner of Athletics, Lorenzo McGregor; Commissioner of Amusements, Alta Holt. Red Pepper Chief Commissioner, Clark Frei; Business Manager, Finley Judd; Debating Manager, Mervin Reber; Commissioner of Athletics, Reed Blake; Commissioner of Amusements, Amuse-ments, Bessie Thurston. Professor H. H. Neinniger and about a dozen of his students from the University of Kansas who are engaged engag-ed in scientific research work were here last Thursday and Friday. Pro-t Pro-t lessor Neinnigre gave a lecture in Devotional De-votional Friday morning, his subject-being subject-being metorites. It was thoroughly e-;oyed by all the students. |
