" e Mrs. Charles Stephens of Hurricane is here to spend some time with her mother, Mrs. Charles Walker who is very ill. She came down with Mr. Stephens Ste-phens last Thursday. Mrs. R. J. Twiggs and Mrs. R 5 Miller of Salt Lake City and Mrs Arthur Bracken of Central are spending spend-ing this week here with there lather Wiliam Gardner. Mrs. Warren Black of Short Creek arrived here last Thursday to spend some time because of the serious illness ill-ness of her mother, Mrs. Charles Walker. Mrs. Bertha McGregor and Miss Mary Whitehurst left Monday for Salt Lake City to spend several days there visiting. Zola Connel went as far as Parowan where she will stay with her father and sisters. The evening was spent in playing games and in dancing quadrilles and other old time dances after which refreshments I were served to about 125 people. A farewell fare-well dance will be given for. him at Enterprise Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Crawford arrived here Wednesday afternoon from Provo to attend the funeral of Burton Carter, but through a misunderstanding misund-erstanding of the time they arrived here too late. They intend leaving today to-day for their home at Enterprise. |
