Show ACTIVITIES AT THE WOODWARD The enrollment at the Woodward school is increasing daily and it is believed that within a few weeks it will total that of last year. Eighty students have arranged to take group piano work under the direction of Mrs. Mae Pace. They will meet every Monday and Thursday Thurs-day in the basement of the tabernacle. taber-nacle. Karl E. Fordham has an advanced advanc-ed orchestra this year and has arranged ar-ranged to give group work to beginners. be-ginners. Instruction for this will begin be-gin in a few days. Last year remarkable re-markable progress was made in orchestra or-chestra work. It will be remembered that the first and second grades had a rhythmic orchestra that did exceptionally well. This year more has been planned. The advanced orchestra meets every morning at 8 with a large number of students enrolled. Twenty minutes additional class work time per day has been secured se-cured through the elimination of line forming and marching into the school house when school is called. |
