Show OUTSIDE ADVERTISING The following item appeared in the April issue of "The Appian Way," the official publication of the Pikes Peak Ocean to Ocean highway. St. George, Utah, enjoys a Southern California climate at all seasons of the year. Semi-tropical fruits and plant grow in great profusion and roses bloom throughout the year. It has become a tourist center of considerable importance and has excellent hotel and garage facilities. St. George was settled in 1861 by a group of Mormons from Salt Lake City. One of the finest Mormon temples in the country is located at St. George and Dixie College, a Mormon school, is also of interest. The first pest office in the state of Utah was built in St. George and the building is still standing. |
