Show SHORT CREEK, ARIZ, Dr. H. E. Hendrix, state supt. of Public Instruction was a state visitor at the Junior High School here today. Accompanying him on this tour of Northern Mohave and Coconino Counties, were J. Morris Richards, state director of tests and measurements and Mrs. N. S. Thele, supt. of Mohave county schools. Mr. Richards conducted New Stanford achievement achieve-ment tests, Supt. Thele performed perform-ed regular school supervision work besides acting as official pilot. Interesting and timely were the remarks of the educators, educat-ors, stressing among the essent-ials essent-ials of education the R's the one of "Right Survey." Tuesday they completed their work at the historic Lee's Ferry. Wednesday a drive of three hundred fifty miles was made to enable them to be back home for the duly proclaimed holiday. Dr. Hendrix expressed his pleasure over the swing thru Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. Mentioning especially his appreciation of the scenery along the route. Thanksgiving morning witnessed witness-ed the initial work on a C. W. P. project beginning at the Utah-Arizona Utah-Arizona State line and ending at the lhteresection of U. S. A. 89 at Fredonia.
