Show DIXIE COLLEGE NOTES The "Pep" song contest closed Nov. I 30 with the following entries: La I Vera McArthur, Priscilla Hall, Eva Leavitt, Grace Hall, Ida Wallis, H. L. Reid, A. K. Hafen, B. Glen Smith and John T. Woodbury, Jr. The songs will ' be sang in devotional Friday morning and the judges will then give their decision. The winner will receive a Dixie College year book. Patrons of the school are invited to attend. The devotional program last Friday morning was given by the dramatic art class under the direction of Mrs. Ella Perkins and consisted of readings ! by Ester Andrus, Florence Whipple, Opal Earl, Virginia Jarvis, Beatrice Carter, Eloise Workman and Verda ' and Lois Judd. A duet by La Vern and Una Pickett and a solo by Louie 1 Miller. Pictures for the Year Book are now ' being taken at the office of Mr. Stew-at Stew-at in the Pickett Lumber comapny ' building. Mrs. Ella Perkins and five of her 1 dramatic art students gave a program at Hurricane Tuesday. Mrs. Hunt of the nutrition department gave a lecture lec-ture there the same day. The Virgin Valley high basket ball team will play the Dixie "flyers" here 1 Thursday evening. Inter-class debates wil be held December Dec-ember 16 with four entries from each class, the subject being "Resolved, That American Civilization is on the Decline." The following classes will entry, Sophomore, Freshies, Fourth and Third years. |
