Show EVERLASTING TAX PROBLEM Ogden L. Mills of the Federal Treasury, Treas-ury, reasserts the generally accepted statement that the reductions of Federal Fed-eral Taxes were offset and practically wiped out by the constantly rising cost of state and local government. Federal taxes from 1921 to 1926 were reduced $1,488,000,000. state and local taxes increased $1,415,000,000. Federal Feder-al tax-reducers can well say: "What's the use?"
