Show S. L LOS ANGELES LINE IMPROVEMENTS FOR 1938 Improvements costing more than $2;250,000 will be made in 1930 by the Union Pacific system between Salt Lake and Los Angeles, it was announced Friday by F. H. Knickerbocker, Knick-erbocker, general manager of the Los Angeles and Salt Lake railroad rail-road unit of the system. The improvements, according to Mr. Knickerbocker, will include bridge work, laving of new railt and such other work necessary to keep the road in excellent shape. He reported that freight and passenger pas-senger business over the route is good, and predicted a heavy volume vol-ume of tourist business from the west' coast to southern Utah next season. |
