Show Christmas Programs at The Woodward School The three hundred students enrolled from the Sixth grade tothe Eight will present a sacred pageant entitled "The Star of Hope," Monday afternoon after-noon at 2:30 and again at 7:30 Tuesday evening. . Mr. Karl E. Forham, music teacher, and Miss Lena Nelson are directing the production. The cast is as follows: Mary Juanita Seegmiller Joseph Arthur Blake Rabbi Andrew Pace Herod Eldon Reid Wisemen and Attendant Walter Pace, Henry Nicholas, Willard Bleak and Wesley Shamp. Angel - Marian Woodbury Reader Ruth Ramsay Bethlehem Girls Kathleen Macfarlane, Lyle Taylor, Priscilla Hall Travelers, Shepherds, Boys, Girls, Small Children and Girls Chorus. The pageant has been well worked up aud we feel happy and proud to exend a cordial invitation to all our patrons. At Home AVith Santo Claus The lower floor of the Woodward will entertain Wednesday night, Dec. 23., 7:30 with special number and with a Christmas cantata entitled, "At Home with Santa Claus." About 250 children will participate in the cantata. canta-ta. Santa Claus will be enacted by Shirl Woodbury, Mrs. Santa, Thelma Bleak, Merry Christinas, Eleanor Nicholes, Santa Junior, Grant Miller, Crissie and Cringle, Rhoda Andrus and Grace Royce. Choruses from third, forth and fifth grades. The theme of the little operetta is as follows, Santa is hurried away on his annual visit to the children and all Santa's kingdom become happy and joyous for their year's work is completed. Amid their happiness Santa comes hurrying back much disturbed because some Commodores were coining on an expedition to the North Pole and Santa fears for the safety of his throne. After numerous trials Santa's subjects sub-jects prove true and his little kingdom is once more secured. Though the plot is simple it is very entertaining with its clever solos, choruses, and dialogues. dial-ogues. Proceeding the operetta is special numbers composed of panto-mines, panto-mines, songs, and playlets from the first and second grades. |
