Show LA VERKIN St. George baseball team played play-ed the local team here last Wednesday. Wed-nesday. The LaVerkin team romping off with the glory of a 11-6 score. It was a hard fought game and highly interesting to the last. The team played To-querville To-querville at Toquerville last Sat urday being victorious. So far this season the team has not met defeat. Kanab team playes here next Saturday and our boys go to St. George to play next Tuesday. Clark Thompson, son cl Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Thompson was brought home yesterday from the hospital at St George where he has been for treatment the past few weeks. Mr. Lafell Iverson and Mr. Vernon Church are attending summer school at Logan. Mrs. Iverson accompanied her husband to visit there until school is over. Those attending conference at Salt Lake City the week-end are Mrs. LaVerna Graff, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Thompson, Ruth Judd. Neil Hey wood, and Mildred Judd. Miss Ruth Judd and Niel Hey-wood Hey-wood to participate in the dancing danc-ing fina's. Orando Gubler returned Thursday Thurs-day from Provo where he graduated grad-uated from tie B. Y. I", with high honors. Sarah A. Wallace and son Leon returned Saturday from Salt Lake City where Leon has been getting medical treatment. The cherrie season is on full swing with a good crop. Clair Judd returned last week from Salt Lake City where he hs.s been attending the 17. of I", the past season studying medicine. County Agent Walter F. Smith was a visitor here today taking jsome of the 4-H club boys to j Hurricane to attrnd a poultry ! meeting. |
