The well begun by Edward N. Sparks had to be abandoned as the water, struck in loose sand, undermined the upper ground, making it dangerous and impractical im-practical for use. The new well will be reinforced with cedar posts as the uork advances, to overcome the difficulty. diffi-culty. An impromptu dance wase given in the school house Monday evening quite a number of cowboys from Pine Valley, Central, Santa Clara, and St. George being present. Ruth Larson who was operated on at the St. George hospital for poisonous poison-ous goiter, is reported to be recovering very nicely and will return home sometime this week. |
