Show I I DIXIE COLLEGE NOTES We are very fortunate in having with us this week some very fine rep-j rep-j resentatives from the State Board of Education, who are visiting our College Col-lege and the District school giving helpful suggestions. Our' distinguished distinguish-ed visitors are: Mosiah Hall, supervisor super-visor of Civilian Rehabilitation, Irvin S. Noall, Supt. of Trades and Ind. Education, L. R. Humphries, Supt. of Agricultural Education, Jean Cox, Supt. of Home Economics and Matilda Peterson, Supt. of Primary grades. The College Basket ball team and Coach Leland Hafen left Tuesday morning on a preliminary basket ball tour. They will play games at Mil-ford, Mil-ford, with the B. Y. U. team at Provo the L. D. S. team at Salt Lake City and the Weber College team at Og-den. Og-den. The Basket Ball game played - last Thursday between the Virgin Valley high team and the Dixie Flyers was won by the flyers with a score of 19 to 51. The Pep song contest was won by Miss Eva Leavitt, who will receive free, a D. C. year book in the spring. Professor John T. Woodbury gave a splendid talk in devotional Monday on "The Sin of Presumption." Some of the boys of our school spent last Friday morning out on the park, ! cleaning it up for the carnival which will be held Dec. 29, 30 and 31. |
