Show !DDUE rod and gun CLUB ENJOYS FEAST The annual banquet and election of directors of the Dixie Rod & Gun club was held in the spacious and elegant dining room of the New Arrowhead hotel last Thursday night. Eighty people, members and partners part-ners sat down to the splendid banquet served by the hotel, which was well served and of excellent quality. A very fine orchestra and dandy program pro-gram helped to make all feel good, as well as musical numbers furnished by Clark Higgins, Alfred Morris and Ber-nell Ber-nell McAllister, with Miss Erma Worthen at the piano. Dr. A. J. Hutchings presided and introduced in-troduced Dean A. Clark as toastmas-ter, toastmas-ter, Mr. Clark filling the position to perfection. Mirth and jollity previl-ed previl-ed and the banquet was declared one of the best ever held by the club. The election of directors drew forth many nominees, it being finally decided decid-ed that the five receiving the highest number of votes should be declared elected. Those receiving the highest number were, Claude Worthen, Bryan Lund, A. J. Hutchings, John M. Higgins Hig-gins and Joseph W. Judd. Applause greeted the result. |
