Show LEEDS LEEDS, Jan. 14. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Bur-ton left this morning for Salt Lake City. A burned out bearing in the compressor com-pressor at the Silverman and Colbath shaft has caused part of the workmen work-men to be laid off for two days. Those who attended Leadership sessions in St. George last Friday were Bishop McMullin and wife, Chas. Hansen, Han-sen, Ethel Stirling, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Clif-ford McMullin and Riley Savage. Most of the above stayed for the Emma Lucy Gates concert. A number went from here in the evening for that purpose also. Ivan Decker and family of Parowan spent Sunday at the home of Bishop McMullin. Mr. Decker is a teacher in the Iron county schools and had been attending institute held in St. George. Word has been received here that Mrs. Sanford Angell, an old time resident resi-dent of Leeds, had suffered a paralytic para-lytic stroke. The family now resides at Overton, Nevada. |
