Kenneth Hirschi, Val Mc Arthur and Morrell Squires returned Sunday from the Arizona strip where they spent the past month working. Trumbull, Ariz., after spending a few days here. Mr. Brown on cattle inspection business. Mack Bowman this week purchased 500 head ( goats from Elmer Taylor of New Harmony. Three hundred ewes and 200 wethers were bought. Mr. and Mrs. Dilworth Snow, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Watson, Mrs. Bertha McGregor and Miss lima Worthen attended at-tended the B. B. tournament in Salt Lake City last week. Dean A. Clark, John R. Wallis, Fen-ten Fen-ten Meacham and Grant Harris returned return-ed Monday from Salt Lake City where they had been attending the state basket bas-ket ball tournament and transacting business. Russel Mohan of Reno, Nevada, and Miss Mary U. Jones of Rockville were married here March 20th by Bishop Karl N. Snow. The bride is a daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Philetus Jones of Rockville. The News joins in wishing the newlyweds much happiness. Miss Thelma Statton is a new employee em-ployee in Mathis Market. Mrs. Claud Worthen is visiting with relatives in Salt Lake City. Macfarlane of Cedar City came in Saturday to spend a few days here visiting. J. Gordon Douglas of Salt Lake City is in St. George to attend this term of court. Miss Marie Cannon returned home Sunday from Salt Lake City where she spent the winter. Mrs. Frank Jackson and daughters Mrs. Bert Smith and Miss Lola spent Sunday here from Toquerville. Mrs. -Emma Squire and Mrs. Sarah White entertained at a party Wednesday Wednes-day night in honor of Mrs. Thomas P. Cottam the occasion being Mrs. Cot-tarn's Cot-tarn's birthday. About thirty guests were present. A splendid time was had. Two truck tanks of fish will arrive here tomorrow. They will b,e placed in the Enterprise reservoir and Pine Valley creek by the Rod and Gun club. Mr. and Mrs. Afton Ballard and Mr. and Mrs. Waldon Ballard were visitors here' from "Cane Beds, Ariz.,- last week end. J. E. Jones, manager of the Western Newspaper Union at Salt Lake City, J. T. Gardner of the same company, and Ambrose Lowrey of the Salt Lake Hardware, stopped over here for a short time Wednesday on their return to Salt Lake from Las Vegas.
