VERNAL An interesting experiment experi-ment was completed recently by John Kielson, one of Ashley valley's pioneer farmers. He decided to make a test ot the productivity of a single kernel ker-nel of wheat, and for this purpose , l,owed it in ordinary ground, surrounded surround-ed by a fence, so as to ascertain the lact amount of increase. He was greatly surprised when he counted the result, and found the one seed had yielded 4372 kernels and 88 sheaths. The seed is known as the Dicklow variety.
