Show PANACA Panaca, March 19.-Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, March 19, 1928, for Mrs. Wm. A. Bond, who died at Modena, Utah, on Saturday. The speakers were Thomas Lund of Modena and Wm. Lund of Enterprise. The ward choir sang "Farewell All Earthly Honors," and an anthem, "Waiting." Prayers were offered by N. J. Wadsworth and David Keele. Many friends of the family came from Modena and Eagle valley besides Panaca Pa-naca to pay their respects to the departed de-parted and sympathize with the family. fam-ily. Mrs. Wm. H. Edwards returned from Modena Sunday where she went to assist as-sist the family of Mr. Bond at the time of Mrs. Bond's death. Mrs. A. V. Lee went to Cedar City last Sunday to visit her husband who is there receiving medical treatment. She returned that evening. Carl Long and mother, Mrs. Annie Long, Mrs. Chas. P. Mathews and son Leon, and Mr. and Mrs. Lavi Blad went to Cedar City Saturday and returned re-turned Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Mathews went to Cedar City Sunday to consult a doctor doc-tor concerning their little son who is ill. ' Philip Mathews who has been confined, con-fined, to his home for three months with an attack of rheumatism, is now improving and was out Monday enjoying en-joying the warm sunshine. Mr. and Mrs. David Wadsworth re turned last week from Las Vegas, Nevada. Ne-vada. Mrs. Talboy of the Home Economics department of the University of Nevada, Ne-vada, visited the Lincoln county high school this week. Mrs. Marjory Morrison, a ' former teacher of Home Economics in the Lincoln Lin-coln high accompanied Mrs. Talboy from Reno on her trip here. Principal C. W. Price and Mary Reid, Helina Burke, Austin Dalley, Keith Lee and Lorraine Hollinger, left Tuesday Tues-day for Reno where the young people peo-ple who are students of Lincoln high, will contest in debating and declamation declama-tion at the tournament to be held in Reno this week. Miss Porter, a. teacher here was called call-ed to California last, week on account of the illness of her aunt. Miss Porter returned Monday. j |
