Show CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. John Schmutz passed pas-sed the 50th anniversary of their wedding day on the 14th of May last, but no celebration was held then on account of some members of the family fam-ily being away. The family are all home now so last Saturday 42 members mem-bers of the family, including the honorable heads, gathered at the Washington field 2 7 going on a hayrack, hay-rack, where picnic, program, short talks and games made the time pass very pleasantly. On Tuesday night the family went to Washington and enjoyed a swimming swim-ming party in the Cascade swimming pool. Mr. and Mrs. John Schmut z are among our most highly respected citizens. Mr. Schmutz has ever been a progressive and upright citizen. He is St. George's largest orchardest and in our fruit shows has always had the largest individual exhibit. He is a director in the Dixie Stock-growers Stock-growers bank and is active along other oth-er lines. He is hale and hearty, a wonderful worker, and respected by everybody here. ' May he and his good wife live to see as many returns of their wedding day as they desire. |
