| Show UHS Music Dept To Present Two Concerts A Fall Choral Concert is is planned for presentation to the public tonight Thursday at Uintah High School under the direction of Ellis C Wor- Wor Worthen Worthen then The Boys Glee Girls Glee and Mixed Chorus will join together to present a concert of widely varied music Mr Worthen stated there will be a small admission fee charged Curtain time will be pm in the UHS auditor auditor- auditorium auditorium ium Pianists for the evenings evening's program will be Geri Wash Wash- Washburn Washburn burn Lou Ann Murdock Col- Col Colleen been leen Hammond Diane Abplanalp and Alan McConkie Program numbers for the mixed chorus will be The Lords Lord's Prayer Onward Ye Peoples Lets Pray for Peace Deo Gracias Faith of Our Fathers and The Syncopated Clock The Girls Glee will sing In the Still of the Night Beautiful Sav Sav- Savior Through and Thanks Be To Thee The Boys Glee will present Drill Ye 0 Lord Most Holy Your Land and My Land and They Call the Wind Maria As its Christmas production this year the Music Depart Depart- Department Department I ment is planning a presenta tion of George Frederick Han Han- Handel's I dels del's Messiah This program will feature a large number of student sing sing- singers singers ers a 35 piece orchestra a community choral group and several soloists Townspeople are encouraged encouraged ed to join the community chorus and participate in fn this production Rehearsals are presently being held each Tuesday night from 93 to 1030 pm Mr Worthen states that all those who are interested are invited to attend these rehear rehear- rehearsals rehearsals and sing one of the worlds world's greatest musical works Music will be provided for all singers at rehearsals and for the concert |
