family farally this large attendance has assembled here today to day had it not been for the malady in our midst a very much larger attendance would have been present the occasion la is doubly sad because of this young mothers age and the recent loss of her father the late sheriff richard pope a man who had been a fearless public servant for so many years the speaker felt sure a warm sympathy went out to the husband because of his heavy loss in the passing of his companion the people always felt same apprehension when a stranger I 1 comes into our midst and claims the hands of one of our fair daughters but in this case I 1 feel that this ghisi young man has made good by proving his integrity in a business ivay while he had also been a kind husband and father and thereby had claimed the respect of this whole community while jour sour sympathy and love went out to the bereaved under these sad conditions yet there is a comfort and nd the only real comfort after all that comes to us in tho the pausing passing of our loved ones and rind that is the peace A which comes comets to us in the hope and faith of df the hereafter through the gospel of jesus christ elder H walter woolley
