Show Haws, Urry wedding celebrated in Bountiful JaNae Haws became the bride of John V.'iiliam Urry Oct. 17. 1931 in rites performed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple with Francis Urry officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kay M. Haws of Bountiful, and the groom is the son of Mayor and Mrs. Lawrence Urry of Woods Cross. Following the ceremony a buffet luncheon was hosted by the groom's parents. Later that evening a reception was held in the Bountiful 27th Ward Cultural Hall. The bride's gown of antique lace over satin crepe was created by her mother. The multi-tiered lace skirt formed a chapel length train. The bodice featured a high neck and yoke outlined in a ruffle of lace. The full sleeves gathered onto the wide cuff which was also outlined in lace. Matching lace outlined the fingertip-length veil. She carried a bouquet of silk flowers in shades of pink and burgundy. The bridal attendants were Teresa Bassett as maid of honor and Men Kay Smith, JoJear.ne Haws and Becky I'rry as bridesmaids. Their dresses were of coordinating prints in shades of burgundy and were trimmed with ecru lace and burgundy ribbon. They held sprays of burgundy roses. Performing the duties of best man was David Urry. Greeting guests were Marsha Haws Roberts, Millie Haws and George Johnstun. Marc and Gavin Perry assisted with the gifts and serving. ser-ving. The newly-weds w ill make their home in Salt Lake City where John will continue his studies in electrical engineering at the University of lltah and JaNae will complete her student teaching prior to completing a BA degree from BVU in December. |
