Show NEWS OF THE WORLD.<br><br> New York, Aug. 2.-Patrick Shea, coming home, to-day, and finding three young ruffians burglarizing his house, grabbed one, Jas. A. Wells, who, being unable to evade him, plunged a large dagger six times into Shea, finally driving it up to the hilt. He was even then unable to get away, except by tearing off his sleeve which was firmly grasped in the brave Shea's hand. The assassin fled, but was captured, his sleeveless arm identifying him. Shea was taken to the hospital. He has few chances of recovery. |
