Show TERRITORIAL NEWS. Yesterday evening Mrs. Barratt's horse became unmanageable near the head of first East Street, and ran away. The vehicle collided with a telegraph pole a short distance from the Social Hall, and the lady and her son Samuel were both thrown violently out. Mrs. Barratt had her arm broken below the elbow and was badly bruised about the shoulder and one leg. Master Samuel was hurt on the side of his head and face, from which the skin was pealed off. Both were taken home, where they received immediate surgical attention. We are pleased to learn to-day that Mrs. Barratt is doing as well as could be expected, considering the nature of her injuries. Master Samuel will soon be all right again. The buggy was badly damaged by the collision with the telegraph pole.-News 31. |
