Show SUDDEN DEATH We are indebted to Francis Sharp, Esq., of Smithfield for the following account of the sudden death at the home of Mother Noble: Died very suddenly, at Smithfield, Nov. ?3th (58), Mary ? Harper Noble wife of Wm. G. Noble. Deceased had visited several of her neighbors during the day, and seemed in as good health as usual, and at supper was hearty and jovial. After rising from the table she stepped out of doors. Not returning in from ten to fifteen minutes, her daughter Laura became anxious about her, and, going to look at her, found her ? ? a few yards from the house. The daughter's ? brought a number of persons to her assistance. Various means were tried to resuscitate the deceased but to no avail. She was born near Leeds, England, Dec. 1830; married to Wm. G. Noble Dec. 7 18?, and baptized Feb. 18?. She emigrated to Utah in 18?, and settled in Smithfield where she continued to reside until her death. She was the mother of eleven children and grand mother of sixty three, forty nine of who are living: also two great grandchildren. |
