Show DESCRIPTION OF THE SUPPOSED MURDERERS OF JOEL HINCKLEY. Logan, U. T. [Utah Territory], Oct. 29. 1:10 p.m. - Joel Hinckley, our agent at Franklin, was shot and killed at the depot there on the night of the 17th inst. [instant] by two masked men. The man who is supposed to have done the shooting is about 6 feet high; has on a little fuzzy cap, brown overalls, heavy short overcoats, stoga [stogy] boots, one turned over at the heel, smooth shaved, dark complexion, short hair; weight, 165 to 175 pounds. The other man is about 5 feet 8 inches high; had on a short ducking coat, which fit tightly, and brown overalls, stoga [stogy] boots, dark chin whiskers, about one and a half inches long; weight 155 to 160 pounds. There [is a] $1,000 reward offered by the company for the arrest and conviction of the murderers. |
