Show RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT. To the memory of Joel Hinckley, formerly a student of the Brigham Young Academy, killed at Franklin, Idaho, Oct. 27, 1881. Adopted by the teachers and students of the B. Y. Academy, in a mass meeting assembled Oct. 31, 1881: Whereas, in the dispensation of an inscrutable providence, our former pupil and fellow student, Elder Joel Hinckley, has met his death by violence while at his post of duty; therefore be it; Resolved: that it be the unanimous sentiment of the teachers and students of this Academy, that we have lost to demise, an esteemed friend, the Academy a representative student, and the human society a promising member. Resolved: that we extend to his sorrowing relatives our sincere condolence in this hour of affliction. Resolved: that these resolutions be spread upon the records of the Academy and that copies be furnished the grief stricken family and the Logan LEADER for publication. W. H. DALLEY, Chairman, C.
