Show SAliUTATOnV. . This number of The Union commences the ninth volume of its publication and we purpose issuing is-suing it every week for at least one year, trusting that we will be able to make it interesting enough to merit your patronage. . Our sheet is small, but we believe the old addage, "From the small acorn grows the massive oak" to be literally liter-ally true, and intend to enlarge our ' periodical just as soon as the patronage pat-ronage is sufficient to meet the ex- '.J-. tra expense. Wo invite correspondence from all who can add their mite to.make the The Union interesting. Our aim will be to give all the local happenings that we can learn of, encourage capitalists to invest in establishing new enterprises in our midst, that home production may be promoted, and in advan-- cing the agricultural and horticultural horticul-tural pursuits in. the eurrounding country, give mines and mining a fair representation, and aid in developing de-veloping the country in general. Hoping bur efforts will be crowned crown-ed with success. We are, respectfully, The Editor. |
