Of Maria Empey Gould Pace, was held at their residence, in the east part of this city, Sunday Morning, May 24, 1896, at 10 o'clock a. m., under the direction of our new Bishop, James Andrus. Consoling remarks were made by Elder Thomas Judd, Prests, D. H. Cannon and D. D. McArthur, Elder Charles Smith and Bishop James Andrus. The Singing was conducted by Chorister Joseph W. McAllister. Sister Pace, who passed away may 23, 1896, was born in Nauvoo, - 111., September 1, 1846. Came to Utah with her parents in I849. She is the mother of 11 children 9 of whom preceeded her to their heavenly heaven-ly home. She leaves a husband, two dhildren, and many relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
