Show On April 22, 1895, a child was born to George Alma and Carr;e Brady Atkin, with a hair lip. Dr. Afilect attended her, and at that time he gave the parents of the child, in their sorrow, a good deal of solid consolation by assuring them that he could fix it. From that time on he watched the child closely close-ly to see how it developed. A tooth came right in front projecting straight out; also another one had started between that on3 and the nose, and it had a very bad appearance. ap-pearance. On March 21, he performed the first operation, taking out the: two teeth and a piece of bone, that had to be removed, in . order that the lip. might be brought together. This operation was scientifically performed and the child done well. Oii- April 21r he performed - the second operation, bringing the lip to it3 proper shape. He has done a masterly piece of work, and if no accident befalls it by the child tearing out the stitches or otherwise other-wise injuring itself, it will hardly have a mark by which it can be noticed.
