Show man in his sickness nnd having felt the spirit manifested by him as also his loving mother and the family, how they watched over him and done all that it was possible possi-ble for them to do. At all times they have relied on God and trusted trust-ed his loving kindness, and friends have rallied around them all has been done that could be to assist them in this their time of trouble and sorrow. Said it is pleasont indeed to see the union and love that exist in this family. It is well known by many of us that there was a strong desire in his heart to go and preach tho gospel to his fellowman, and ho will have the desire of his heart in preaching preach-ing the gospel to the spirits that have been on this earth and have passed from this sphere of action without hearing the gospel. He read, in poof of this, the scriptures where the Savior went and preach- ed to those spirits 111 prison, that were once disobedient in the days of Noah, and this young man will preach the same gospel to the spirits in the spirit world. He read from the vision in the Doctrine Doct-rine and Covenants, in regard to the great reward that is in store for the righteous. 1 President D. D. He, with his brethern had recommended re-commended brother Cox to go on a mission because they knew him to be a good and worthy young man, and our Father has seen fit to call him to the other side and we firmly believe that brother Cox has laid down his body pure before be-fore the Lord. Bishop's Councilor Thomas P. Cottam bore testimony that all the good things spoken by tho speakers speak-ers in regard to brother Cox are strictly true, as he had been well acquainted with him and was satisfied satis-fied that brother Cox had filled an honorable life. Brother Cox has received the Holy Priesthood and is prepared to preach the gospel to those who have died without hearing tho gospel gos-pel in the flesh. It was hi3 desire to magnify the Holy Priesthood which has been placed upon him. The speaker desired that the comforting influence of the Spirit of God may rest upon this family and carry peace to their hearts, and that they will acknowledge that our Father doeth all things well.
