Muldoon, who are the prosessors of the Marian Group (five claims) have a fine property right in the heart of the district. The croppings of one of the claims, the June Bug, carries 55 ounces of silver and $3. 00 gold, and shows the biggest lead in the district so far the ore goes all the way up to 123 ounces in silver and $18.35 gld- , On some of their other claims, Messrs. Kelly and Muldoon have ore that runs very high; assays- obtained ob-tained from Mr. Leubeck of Park City on Golden Eagle ore show $293 in gold and 12 ounces in silver, and from the Silver Dick assays have been made all the way from 180 to 200 ouuees of silver. The Montezumer is the property T. jvelly; they are down fifteen feet, it shows - fifteen feet of quartz. They have one wall and are sinking to fifty feet, where they will cross cut the vein to find the otherwall. O. H. Allison, just from the BJue Mountains, has taken a contract con-tract to run a 200 foot tunnel for an interest in the Grand Central group of six claims. San Jose parties are now investigating this property with a view of bonding it for $70,000. ! The tunnel in the Creole is now in 80 feet with good prospects of stricking the ledge soon, when the owners expect to have a magnificent property. .STATE LINE. MINING DISTRICT Soon to be One of the Greatest Camps in the Wes. from The Provo L Ionian Mr. F. N. Millet returned from State Line mining district yesterday yester-day morning and brings very en couraging news from the camp. There are new people coming in there every day, increased activity in the development of the many fine properties, which will ere long, in Mr. Millett's opinion make State Line one of the greatest camps in the west. The owners of the. Burro mine are shipping their ore to Bullionville, Nevada, where it is treated in Mr. Godbe's mill. They save 90 per cent of the assay value, which is so satisfactory that many of the other mines contemplate shipping the products pro-ducts of their mines to Bullionville. which is only 30 miles distant. A new strike has been made in the Gold Hill, of which Mr. Millett is one of the owners, Mr. Jos. M. Brown and J. E. Snow, of this : city, are also interested in this property. The ore is rich m silver, carrying! V . 990 ounces, and 1:42 in gold, and is ' ( - very similar in appearance to old jRayniond?rcQ rEiyPide)"ofe7 The company is now incorporating, ' and before Mr. Millett left, a con-' con-' tract was let to parties from De La-Mar, La-Mar, Nevada to sink a 250 footshaft - .at $4.00 a foot, the 'contractors to .be paid in stock at 15 cents a share, Mr. Millett states that is worth about eight or nine dollars a foot to ' do the work, but the proposition came from the contractors to do it on the terms mentioned in order to get some of the stock. He says it is easy to dispose of stock, and interest in-terest iti the various claims of the camp to people who are on the ground and have made personal examination ex-amination of the properties. The following shows to . a slignt ' -extent the people interested in State Line and what they are doing: Troutman and Clark, who own the South East Indias, have a 50 : foot wide quartz belt on their ground, . which carries $8.00 to 15.00 in gold, :and must prove a valuable proposi-tion. proposi-tion. Hon. A. G. Campbell and a Mr. Johnson have a small property consisting con-sisting of forty claims. Joe Vanina; J : Delmore and Hans Olsen, owners of the Charlie Ross, have made a new strike of an eighteen eight-een inch stringer in their vein which -carries $45,000 in gold. They have ibeen offered a bond on the property .$40,000, with $5,000 paid down. The Mohawk, owned by John 'Knight shows a good ledge of ore, -carrying $15 in gold. Mr. Hick has struck a good body of ore in the Nevada Spur, joining the Gold Hill on the west, which averages $15. to the ton. Some of the specimens from that claim, which Mr. Millett brought up is very rich in gold. |
