Show Increase in Salrry. Claiming that the duties and responsibilities of his office have increased materially in the last two years, Caleb Tan-j tier, state engineer, has recom-f mended, iu his biennial report an increase in salary to $3000 a year. A number of other recommendations rec-ommendations are suggested, including one giving the engineer en-gineer the right to extend the limit of time for the completion of irrigation projects, if good cause is shown. The report shows that in twt years the state engineer has supervised the expenditure of $0.10,000, the most of which has been spent in the Uintah res-, ervation and Duchesne rivei basin.
