Show JENSEN BRIDGE BIDS RECEIVED Salt Lake Concern Sends In Lowest Low-est Bid; Work Is Expected To Start Soon. On Monday, . January 9," the state road commission opened the bids at the state capitol for the construction of a bridge over the Green River at Jensen. The estimated esti-mated cost of the structure was $120,000. The - lowest . bid, made by the James J. Burko company of Salt Lake City, was $85,337.00. 1 The funds are to be loaned the! state from emergency relief funds. There" is also a provision that local labor be adhered to. - The old bridge will be moved to one side on pilling to be used during construction of the new bridge and the new bridge will be placed on the site of the present structure. ' The new bridge Is to be made sufficiently strong as to accommodate accom-modate any load that may be demanded de-manded of it. The old bridge wa3 a one-way-bridge and motor traffic traf-fic suffered considerable inconvenience. |
