Show Tabiona Mews by Florence Turnbow No church services will be held January 30th at the Tabiona Tab-iona ward. This is due to Stake Conference at Duchesne. All members are urged to attend the conference. A show, "The Windows of Heaven" Hea-ven" will be Sunday evening on Channel 5 at 9 o'clock. The Bishopric announced for people to see the film. iveith Hooper, High Councilman, Council-man, presented the Sunday evening program last week at Sacaramcnt meeting. He brought Mr. and Mrs. Neil Burriston and son from Duchesne. Mr. Burriston, Duchesne Seminary instructor, gave a fine talk. His son sang a solo accompanied by Mrs. Burriston at the piano. Mr. Hooper directed his remarks re-marks to "fellowship and love of neighbors". Mr. and Mrs. Venice Turn-bows Turn-bows Youngson did not receive surgery that was scheduled for Wednesday. They returned home Saturday evening. Or in Curry, Jr. had the misfortune of breaking his nose last week while practicing basketball at school. He was taken to the Cottonwood hospital hospi-tal for surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gile 's baby is improving very well after finding that the milk was not agreeing with it. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Loft-green Loft-green of Spanish Fork spent Sunday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Marve Michiei Mrs. Michie is feeling better at the present time. Lloyd Webb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonal Webb, returned return-ed home for a two week furlough fur-lough from the armed forces. He will go to Missouri January 29 for further training. Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Rhoades received word from their son Steven that he has landed at Saigon. The Tabiona junior varsity team played a good ball game with the Utes of Vernal Friday night.. They won by 1 point. The varsity team was a very close game by 63 to 60 for the Tigers. The Tigers led all the way but lost by 3 points. Individual pictures were taken at Tabiona High Thursday. Thurs-day. A quilting bee was held Monday at the home of Mrs. Clista Defa. A delicious chicken dinner was served to Mrs. Berniece Young, Mrs. Edna Giles, Mrs. Florence Turnbow, and Mrs. Zelma Lazenby. A beautiful apple blossom quilt was completed. The DUP will entertain their husbands in February on the 14th, unless announced at a different date. A fine program pro-gram is scheduled with a pot luck supper. Everyone is invited to attend. The Daddy Date for the three groups in Primary -Gaynotes, Firelight, and Merrihands - and their dads is scheduled for Saturday, February 5th. This is the night when the girls go on their first date with their dads. People from Tabiona who went through the Salt Lake Temple Wednesday, January 19, were Mrs. Angie Lewis, Mrs. Wanda Ivie, Ralph Smith, Joe Rhoades, Frank Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Turnbow, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Nye, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gines, Mr. and Mrs. Darreld Casper, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Turnbow, and Carol Turnbow. Carol Turnbow went through for the first time to receive her endowments. She plans to go on a LDS Mission very soon and is waiting for her call Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Davidson David-son and daughter of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Standley Pickett, and Mr. Pickett of Gunnison also accompanied the group thru and visited after the session. Mrs. Jannette Turnbow remained the rest of the week to visit with her mother who will be 87 years old Saturday. She is enjoying good health. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Gines and family of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting at Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Rhoades. Mr. and Mrs. Rhoades were in Salt Lake Wednesday visiting. visit-ing. Mr. and Mrs. Delyle Giles and family of Salt Lake were visiting Friday and Saturday at Mr. and Mrs. George Giles and Mr. and Mrs. Nolen Giles. Mr. and Mrs. Lane Josie and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Josie of Salt Lake City were visiting Friday in Tabiona.
