Show Irrigation Workshop Next Wednesday A. Hale Holgate, president of the Duchesne County Water (Jsers Association, Lloyd Smith, association secretary, and the agricultural agent in Duchesne County for the Utah State Univer. sity Extension Service, and Leo naueter, a memoer 01 the Central Conservancy District, from Duchesne County, will be the speakers at the Irrigation Workshop to be held in Duchesne at the courthouse, Wednesday, February 2, 1966, The date has been changed from February L The workshop, sponsored by the Duchesne County Water Assn. , starts at 10 a. m. and continues to 3:30p. m. , with a 12 o'clock .. A ' WW-,.A - Duchesne Elementary School The Duchesne High School Gymnasium and the Duchesne Elementary School will be dedicated Feb. 17, in the evening, even-ing, school district officials have announced. It will be an "open house" occasion for all who want to come see the new building and remain for the special dedicatory program. Officials from the state school office, and other state educational educa-tional representatives are expect ed to participate on the program, as well as local officials. Supt. Thomas J. Abplanalp and Hollis G. Hullinger, President Pres-ident of the Duchesne County Board of Education will announce luncheon furnished by the association. assoc-iation. A .panel discussion begins at 3 p. m. , all the workshop speakers speak-ers will participate as panelists. This workshop is planned especially esp-ecially for board of directors, and all those who irrigate. The following agenda is scheduled: Plant-soil-water relationships, by Dr. Paul Christensen, soil science specialist, Utah State Ujniversity;; administrative management, canal maintenance mainten-ance and lining, Richard E. These buildings are two of four major construction projects awarded last march by the Duchesne County Board of Education, to the lowest bidder. Turner Construction Co. of Salt Lake City, was general contractor for the Duchesne Elementary school, $428, 965; and W Rowe Smith, Salt Lake City is the architect. Kaze and Gammon, contractors, contrac-tors, Provo, had the general construction contract for the Duchesne High School Gymnasium, Gym-nasium, $172, 000. Cannon and Mullen, Salt Lake City, was the architect.
