Show (&(D)sipy (Ghiiss We must Keep a Two-Party Government We must ready ourselves to compete with big city politics. They have been successful In taking over the present administration, and are working hard to get control of the opposition party. Their policies fwor Big Business and organized labor. Big Business is able to control its labor and material costs and price its products in such a way that it has a nearly guaranteed profit. The unions are able to control the wages of their people to offset the higher costs, and most of the time, to do even better than that. This leaves the unorganized worker, the businessman, busi-nessman, the farmer, and those with fixed incomes at the mercy of these two controlling factions. You have only to look at what has happened to the income in-come of most of the above mentioned groups of people' to realize where Big Business and organized labor have gotten their raise in income. I The time is here when people must forget the political poli-tical affiliations of their parents. They must realize that political parties, like everything else, change. We must be ready to change also when it becomes apparent that the party we now belong to no longer represents the best interests of our country, state, and nation. The greatest danger facing this country today, is not a war, nor a foreign enemy, but the fear of the people themselves that makes them stumble blindly along, and support a party long after it has ceased to promote the causes that are so vital to us, and to our free enterprise system. We are becoming so used to an all-powerful government that tries to do everything for us including makinq our decisions, that one day we may wake up and find that we are slaves to a one-party government,. Remember! While you are fighting for what you think is right, the opposition thinks his cause is just, also. I ZTZ i I rP r Tv? tST Tot yt- n Tr a t - I |
