Show EXTENSION SERVICE NEWS In carrying out the activities of the office of the Extension Service of the Utah State University Uni-versity in Duchesne County in 1965, the agents made 756 farms, home, farm and other out-of-office visits, received 1, 204 callers to the office for information relative to the Extension Service programs, and received or made 1, 947 telephone tele-phone calls. Mr. Lloyd Smith, Duchesne, is the county agricultural agent, and Mrs. Mary C. Boender, Roosevelt, is the home demonstration demon-stration agent. During the year, 168 news articles were prepared and released re-leased directly to newspapers circulated in the area; and 115 articles, prepared by the State Extension Service of the Utah State University, were released through' the County Extension ' Service office. Other helpful information was broadcast in the Uintah Basin, that was prepared by the. Extension Agents. These broadcasts are listed as a total of 66 for the two agents. A record 4, 403 publications were distributed directly to the public, through the Extension Exten-sion Office at the courthouse in Duchesne, and by the county agents, during the year.
