Show PAGE SIX THE BINGHAM BULLETIN, BINGHAM CANYON, UTAH FRIDAY, JUNE 22, 1951 convenience, smart appearance and enduring quality, Besides its complete stock of Hope's steel windows always so easy to clean from right inside the house because they do not bind or warp and thus are so easy to open and to close the Construction Specialties Co. can supply special picture windows to meet any need the architect and the builder may present. And of course builders and contractors know the practicability and eeo-- ! nomy of Gate's concrete form ties a further feature furnish-ed by the Construction Special-ties Co., as are lintels, porch col-umns, stair railings, finish hard-ware and so much else that give greater ease and economy to building, with all orders receiv-ing prompt and careful attention, in keeping with the policies of such Construction Specialties Co. executives as President George S. Jackson, Vice President Irvin A. Jackson and Secretary-Treasure- r Robert C. Jackson a great team making great contributions to the types of houses that sell. THIS JACKSON TEAM ABLY AIDS BUILDERS TO CREATE HOMES THAT SELL READILY It is natural that our state should be especially appreciative of what metals mean to the wel-fare of man. But across the na-tion the same is true as to good and attractive construction. And here in the metropolis of ouri Mountain West we have a fore-most factor in making such items available the Construction Specialties Co. of 2362 South Main St., which may be reached by telephoning Salt Lake. Of course leaders in the stock of the Construction Specialties Co. are the famous Hope's steel windows Hope's, the name that for a century and a third has been a guarantee of the best in its field. But architects, contrac-tors and builders whether of individual dwellings or entire subdivision developments have appreciation also for the Steel-bi- lt horizontal sliding doors and windows that mark the ultra-modern residence because of retary of the Utah State Indus-trial Union Council. This election to a fifth term by acclamation ably demonstrates the administrative ability with which Clarence L. Palmer has met and measured up to the grave responsibilities devolving upon him in his period of top-ran- k official service now going into the final lap of a full de-cade. By his just course, President-- Secretary Clarence L. Palm-er has won the respect of em-ployers as well as of employees. Always he has kept the best in-- i terests of the membership of his organization to the front, but Mr. Palmer is not like the heads of certain ousted unions whose pri-mary intent was of course to undermine the nation and thus all labor itself. Mr. Palmer is a loyal citizen heading an organi-zation that itself is intent on the best interests of all and of proper national defense at all times. We need many more such leaders as President-Secretar- y Clarence L. Palmer, head of the CIO in our great State of Utah. O NATION NEEDS MORE SUCH LEADERS AS UTAH'S CLARENCE L. PALMER by Bob Morgan Labor, like industry, needs capable leadership. The nation lis intent these days on speedily preparing for protection from selfish aggressors. All loyal ele-ments in our society are linking hands in the program. And Utah is especially fortunate in having as the head of the CIO in this state Mr. Clarence L. Palmer. The high standing of Mr. Palmer with his colleagues in the ranks of labor is well attested by the fact that last month at Ogden at the 15th annual convention of the organization, Mr. Palmer was elected by acclamation to his 5th two-yea- r term as president-sec- - Sunday at the home of their par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. David L. Bills. BCO auxiliary enjoyed a steak fry at Storm Mountain in Big Cottonwood canyon Monday ev-ening. Officers of the auxiliary Mrs. Rita Ugarte, Mrs. Helen Amieone, 'Mrs. Anna Mae Lovat and Mrs. Genevieve Groves, ar-ranged the picnic. Games were played and a good time was en-joyed by all. Nineteen were pre-sent. Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. David L. Bills were Mr. and Mrs. William R. Dono-ho- o of Clearfield and daughter, Cpl. June Donohoo, who is sta-tioned with the WAF at Roswell, N. Mex., now home on leave. Father Thomas Navien left Tuesday evening for Boston, Mass., where he will visit his parents the next two months. Bartley Vietti and Raymond 'Kopesec recently returned from a vacation trip to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Re-no. In Los Angeles they visited with Beverly Scussel. Mr. and Mrs. J. Burton Durn-for- d of Salt Lake City were Sat-urday overnight and Father's day Sunday dinner guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. El-wo- T. Johnson. o : LOCAL notes : No. 1 Firemen's auxiliary met Monday evening as guests of Mrs. Boyd J. Nerdin. Prizes at bridge were awarded to Mrs. Jack Householder Sr., first; Mrs. Earl Rager, second and Mrs. Harold Chesler, consolation. Mrs. Earl T. James won the bingo prize. Dainty refreshments were served to eleven. Mrs. Floyd Kendrick and fa-mily of Providence arrived Tues-day to visit a few day3 with Mr. and Mrs. Verio Kendrick and Richard. Marian Bills is visiting several days in Sandy this week with her cousins, Eloise, Kent and Lewis Goodrich. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Goodrich and family of Sandy and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence 3ills and were dinner family guests Father's day - in the minds of many informed motorists, is the well-name- d Safety Brakes Co. The fame of the Safety Brakes Co. extends far beyond the bor-ders of Salt Lake County. This fame of course is founded pri-marily on the fact that the ut-most skill, the best materials, and the most scientific equip-ment are the basis of the notable performance afforded. Specialis-ed brake service by experts is the means by which the Safety Brakes Co. has built wide re-nown. But both safety and operating economy are created also by the distinguished work of the com-nan- y in wheel alignment and balancing in truly scientific man-ner. Likewise comfort is enhan-ced by its service as to shock absorbers. And besides brake-dru- m turning and the relining of brake shoes, the Safety Brakes Co. maintains a brake shoe ex-change. In everything that is done under the able administra-tion of the owners, Mr. T. V. Pack and Mr. W. W. Love, only the best is afforded always. And remember that besides the headquarters of the Safety Brakes Co. at 20 East Sixth South, the company operates a South Salt Lake branch at 2235 South State St. that is especially convenient to many of us. Hsre, as at the main plant, the high ideals of Messrs. T. V. Pack and W. W. Love are upheld scrupu-lously as to perfection of service. ENLIST SAFETY BRAKES CO. PERFECT SERVICE FOR GENUINE JOY IN MOTORING Now the time is upon us when it is natural for all to wish to take to the highways, to enjoy our wealth of scenic beauty and the pleasure and benefits of motoring.
