Show Funeral Rites For Early Pioneer To Be BeHeld BeHeld BeHeld Held Here Today Funeral services for William Villiam Hadden 87 veteran of t. t the e Black BlackHawk BlackHawk Hawk Hawl Indian wars wara and early pioneer pione r of Utah and the Uintah Basin will b ba be held in Duchesne this afternoon Friday at 2 p. p m. m Mr Hadden died T Tuesday evening at 1130 p. p m. m at at- atthe the home hom of his daughter daught r Mrs Rachel Pilling Death was caused by a heart ailment ailment ailment ail ail- ment and complications inci incident ent to age A son of Alfred and Sarah Anne Carter Hadden Mr Hadden was born in Provo Provos Utah March 1849 He was one of the first pioneer pio pio- neer children born in Provo While le he was still a small boy his parents were sent to colonize Panguitch Utah and other early Utah settlements He had early exp experiences of Indian raids while helping to guard the cattle As a young man n he he helped his father procure tics for the first railroad in Utah These were prepared prepared prepared pre pre- pared and floated across the Jordan Jordan Jor Jor- dan dnn river With his wife Anne Rhoades Hadden and family he came to th the Reservation at the opening in 1905 He settled near Duchesne where he has his hom home ever since Mrs Hadden preceded ed him in death by seven years Mr Hadden was always as a staunch follower of the L.
