Show rA r- r A HIGH SCHOOL FOR DUCHESNE Duchesne is at last to realize the ambition of many years a years a high school b building planned and ld erected for that purpose and with adequate f facilities for full up-to-standard up curriculum and activities While funds for this building seem to be assured t there here still re remains re- re mains the question of site and the board of education has demanded that the city furnish this providing any new v property is needed A committee of several of Duchesne's prominent prominent- citizens including Mayor Abe Liddell has been selected to work vork out this problem problem problem lem with the board and a problem it is The board and architect favor the acquisition of property close to the present campus so that a single heating plant may be available for both buildings and that the gymnasium may be used by all students To the townspeople to however vevel this has two VO ages There is no property available close to the present present present pres- pres ent school without the purchase of one or more homes which is always more expensive than vacant property purchases regardless of how v poor the homes homes' may Inay be There too is the question of the tY of having small pupils and high school students close together We have already had several accidents when the elementary elementary ele ele- ele- ele pupils were vere crowded cro close to high school athletics and more would be almost sure to follow v.
