BASIN CITIZENS School Board Injunction DISCUSS UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEMS To Hold, Court Rules Basketball Schedule For Region Five Is Compiled At Price Order Against Moving Bd. Offices Made Permanent till June S8jj 331 The injunction against moving the offices of the Duchesne District Board of Education from Du. chesne to Roosevelt, which was entered last July, was made permanent until June 30, 1936, or until such time as it is modified after hearing on petition before the Court presented before that time, by Judge Abe Turner in the District Court on December 6th. The case, growing out of a complaint filed by George C. Kohl, of the Duchesne district, taxpaj-eafter being continued for two terms, came before Judge Turner for trial on December 5th and was completed on the 6th of December. The Board, charged with abuse of discretion, attempted to prove that they would not be incurring needless expense to the District by moving the offices, since they alleged that the citizens of Roosevelt had agreed to furnish temporary offices without cost to the Board. They also contended that Roosevelt was situated in the center of the school population. Mrs. Eeatrice S. Thomas, witness for the plaintiff, and the one member of the Board who held out against the move, alleged that all the members were sworn to secrecy after fhe first motion to move was made and withdrawn in the June meeting of the Board. Attorneys for the plaintiff were B. W, Dalton of Price and L. A. Hollenbeck of Duchesne. Counsel n for the defense were Ray E. of Roosevelt and B. L.
