J Hollenbeck Passes A Away yay After Short Illness Guy Jackson Hollenbeck 41 Duchesne county road foreman for the State Road Commission Commission prominent and Mason died at his home in Duchesne on Wednesday October at 4 1 a.m. a.m. a. a m m. m of pneumonia after a four days' days illness Mr Hollenbeck was born in Buena Vista Colorado August 28 1894 a son of L L. L A A. and Emilena Emilena Emilena Emil- Emil ena Jackson son Hollenbeck He spent his childhood in Colorado attending the high school there later att attending Ul the Colorado State Agricultural College and the Oberlin Oberlin Oberlin Ob- Ob erlin Business College in Oberlin Ohio He came with his par parents and s sister ter to Duchesne about 21 years ago From 1917 to 1919 he served his hUi country as a Sergeant in the World War Var the latter months overseas o He took part in the battles battles battles bat bat- of Chateau Chateau Thierry Thierry and Ar- Ar gonne In 1925 he married Helen Burdick Burdick Burdick Bur- Bur dick then Duch Duchesne ne- ne county Recorder Re Re- corder He was was a member of American American American Am Am- Legion Post No 22 and until recently a member of the 40 10 and 8 organization He was also a member of Basin Lodge No 20 F. F A A. 1 M M. Mr Hollenbeck had been suffering suffering suffering suf suf- fering from a bad cold for several days but planned to go deer hunting hunting hunting hunt hunt- ing Saturday morning Friday night be he developed pneumonia and andin andin andin in spite of expert nursing and medical care he succumbed early Tuesday morning He is survived by his parents his wife two sons Milton J J. J 9 and Conrad 3 and one sister Mrs Nellie Jones ones all of Duchesne Funeral services will be held by bythe bythe bythe the Masonic Lodge under the Ule direction direction direction dir dir- of the Roy A.
