conducted the services mr millward was born january 7 1884 at grantsville Grants ville he was a son of edward and catherine Kat Ra henne therine C easton M ailward early pioneers he filled a 4 year mission to the hawaiian islands on january 8 1913 he married leah robinson in the salt lake L D S temple soon after their marraine mar they moved to rexburg idaho where mr mill ward owned and operated a farm while they were there he served 14 years as first counselor in the ward bishopric he has always been active in M I 1 A sunday school dramatics and the ward cho r on 1941 he moved to santa mon ica where he was employed by douglas aircraft company he was living in santa monica california at the time of his death he is survived by his widow leah robinson millward santa monica california seven sons and daughters marden millward mrs buth ruth rexburg idaho miss kirma millward dark clark duane and weston millward santa mon ica a brother and three sisters james H millward mrs katherine Kat henne watson salt lake city mrs annie stevenson burley idaho mrs grace shipp buchanan filer ida ho and three grandchildren burial was in the elysian burial garden and friends viewed his body at the continental room at the deseret mortuary until one hour prior to the service mr and mrs thomas mcbride mrs maria rob maughn and members of her family were among the many friends and relatives who attended the funeral mr C R of idaho falls idaho was a recent guest at the home of mr and mrs don W mr and mrs joe miller and their two daughters of whittier calif ornia were also guests at the home of mr and mrs D W mrs miller will be remembered by many as rae mrs hazel johnson was hostess to her swing club last week those members present were alice B johnson laura johnson amy wat son florence Florencel hayes layes alpha J mat peg anderson hazel row berry norma deahn jo hanson and the hostess farrell anderson and sherman bar rus returned home on friday after a most eventful trip after leaving Ol oklahoma dahoma city they started south they travelled into texas and visited there a while but they de aided that it was too hot so they started north they went through kansas colorado wyoming then into yellowstone they spent a week there looking over everything and watching their bank roll grow stead ly smaller after a week the they y had it down so that they were counting the copper pieces and then they decided to head for home so they took off through idaho and eventually ended up back home they say that hitch hiking is the only way to to travel because you see more scenery and use less money and can go where you please the centennial beavers amed by ther the 4 H leaders lorna smith and donna hale are going to spend two days and a night at the south willow scout cabin they are looking forward to a very enjoyable time betty and beverly johnson have just returned from idaho while they were there they visited yel low stone park they went over to newdale and visited their aunt clarice james they report a very nice trip mr curtis millward of berkeley cal forma fornia arrived saturday and is a guest of his parents mr and ana mrs J E millward mrs richard beacham was host ess thursday evening at 8 clock to members of her club A delici ous desert luncheon was served to mr leo gillesp e mrs howard dunlevy mrs lee bracken mrs reed russell and mrs del white guests at the ranch home of mr and mrs jack johnson are mr and mrs cecil grill son donald and mrs eva darnall of dallas texas mrs darnall is a sister of mrs frances caddel and mr and mrs griffin are cousins of mrs jack johnson while here they have visited yellowstone park and the southern utah parks they have especially enjoyed the centennial program at salt lake ci city ty seeing the beautiful temple grounds and bu edings they were guests Wednes wednesday aay evening at the yacht club jack and ida prepared the dinner party while mr and mrs don phillips were hosts to a moonlight cruise on great salt lake it was enjoyed by nina and david as they were guests too they think utah is wonderful and when they get back to dallas therill they ill have plenty to tell the texas people they love our mountains and our cool cli ch mate mr and mrs veri verl johnson and family returned sunday from a ten day vacation cation a at Ne new iNdale dale ida ho where they were the house guests of mrs johnson johnsons s mother mrs louie graham while in idaho they attended the godfrey family reunion wh ch was held at new dale they also spent several days visiting yellowstone park here from oregon were mr and mrs marden johnson former resi res dents of grantsville Grants ville they spent the july ath holiday visiting rela tives and friends in grantsville Grants ville spending their two weeks vaca tion at yellowstone park were miss beverly johnson and betty lou johnson en route they stopped at newdale idaho where they were the guests of their aunt mrs clar ice james |
