about Us we the beckwith s have owned and operated the chronicle at delta utah since january 1919 during that time we have 4 built up what we consider a good paper T and one that stands second in the state of utah for circulation per capita A recent census census of delta showed a population of 1645 and our total circulation both inside and outside of delta is 1250 we have alj ways run a homey paper and one that pan be read by all members of the family and enjoyed we intend to print the same type of paper for tooele thoele getting as much news as we can from all parts of tooele thoele beckwith there are no other owners silent partners stockholders or anyone with any interest in the venture other than mr beckwith he has been and will also remain the manager of the delta paper where he has been managing that paper for the past twenty years mrs athena beckwith cook will be the managing editor of the tooele thoele county chronicle with a small office in the ken bates appliance store it will be your paper we are operating our paper in delta with the idea that we are merely the printers of a paper which is a community pro hect act the columns are always open to anyone and we want the people of tooele thoele county to feel free to use our columns for any kind of legitimate news we actually invite this and hope that you will at any time you have some news either phone us the news tell us where we can get the information write it yourself or drop in the office and have us write it we especially want news of the younger generation the small clubs and organizations the 4 H the the sewing clubs the bridge and card clubs the women s auxiliaries the mens men s organizations and all the news we can get from the outlying communities of the county our accredited correspond ants in the towns will be paid for the news they send us and it will be measured by the column inch for this news we will pay an inch we want to have a correspondent in every community and hope to county since the first of january we have been running stones stories of old pioneers history old landmarks and the like in our delta paper this has proved very popular with our readers and creates a presume this to mean all advertising teat that is not against postal regulations and so we will accept all advertising barring from our columns advertising pertaining to a lottery or drawing indecent advertising and advertising that we feel is a scheme to sell something to our readers without giving an adequate return for the reader s money we will not ot discriminate the word newspaper means a paper wi with news printed on it this is what we are striving for and all organizations clubs institutions persons and so forth at some time or other have some news this news we want because we do not believe or belong to that particular organization or club does not mean that we will not print its news we feel that everyone is entitled to equal opportunities in printing their news in the paper and we will be as fair as possible to see that everyone gets their share when you write any news we prefer a typewritten page double spaced if you write in long hand please write carefully and printout
