Show was reported. Driver was DUI on alcohol and medication. She had two juvenile children with . her. The driver was arrested and taken to the police station while the vehicle was impounded. impound-ed. The children were released to family members from the police station. Blood and urine samples were collected as evidence. evi-dence. While transporting the female fe-male to county jail, she passed out several times. A medical medi-cal clearance was obtained at UVRMC and the female was booked into jail on multiple charges. Officers were contacted and asked to respond to Walmart for a report of a male shoplifter in custody. Officers arrived and found one male in the asset protection pro-tection office. He was given Miranda and admitted to the theft. The male was also found to have a NCIC warrant out of California. The male was transported trans-ported to our Police Department where he was booked and released re-leased after finding California was denying Extradition. An officer met with an individual in-dividual in the front lobby in regards to a delayed theft report. The male owns a local fabrication fabrica-tion business and stated he had over 1000 of welding leads stolen sto-len off of his trucks sometime in the last week. On March 17, 2013, an officer of-ficer stopped a vehicle for no passenger side taillight. The "Lindon " continued on Page 9 i , On March 7 traffic was stopped for an equipment violation. vio-lation. The driver was arrested for DUI in this case and multiple warrants in related cases. He was released with citation for offenses in this case and booked1, into county jail on the warrants. , The vehicle was towed as a state 1 impound. An adult male suspect was caught shoplifting at Walmart and was issued a citation into Lindon Justice. On March 8, an officer responded re-sponded to a report of a male and female possibly under the influence who had left the Tri City Medical Center. The officer offi-cer was advised the vehicle left north bound on State. The officer offi-cer had Pleasant Grove Police Department advise. The vehicle was located at its residence unoccupied. un-occupied. An officer spoke with an Employee from Low Book Sales who advised a female purchased a vehicle in February. Febru-ary. The officer was advised the females' information was false and they were unable to contact the female. The officer was also advised the GPS devices were disabled in New Mexico. On March 1 1 a stolen iPod from Oak Canyon Jr. High was reported. On March 12 a police officer of-ficer responded to a report of a suspicious male dumping wire scrap into a dumpster at the rear of a business. The officer arrived and was advised by the reporting party the male had left the area and traveled South on Geneva Road. The officer was provided a license plate of the suspect vehicle and a vague description de-scription of the driver. The suspect sus-pect was later identified. On March 13 a ten-year -old juvenile male was reported breaking into a residence and attempting to steal an item. The male will be referred to Juvenile Court on the charge of Burglary of a residence. 1 An officer made contact with a male that was flagging cars down while appearing to be intoxicated. A consent search was done on the individual and paraphernalia was located. The male was issued a citation for Possession of Paraphernalia. On March 15 a citizen's car was keyed while her boyfriend left it parked at a business in Lindon. There is possible suspect sus-pect information. The victim's other car was damaged earlier in the day in Provo. A report of a traffic offense from Orem, through Lindon, and stopped in Pleasant Grove "Lindon" continued from Page 8 driver of the vehicle was found to be impaired due to alcohol and possibly prescription dr.'gs. The driver blew a 0.124 BrAC. During the investigation it was learned that the driver was in .possession of stolen property from a neighborhood close to the location of the stop. The driver was booked at the Utah County Jail on DUI, possession of stolen property, unlawful acquisition ac-quisition of a transaction card, and possession of a personal identification document. The stolen property was released to the owner. Officers took a report of a purse snatching from Walmart. Surveillance was obtained of the suspect and the vehicle he left in. It was later learned that after af-ter the suspect left our Walmart, he went to American Fork, followed fol-lowed by Draper and West Valley, Val-ley, where he stole more purses. Draper Police were able to get an identity of the suspect. Grantsville Police later ended up arresting the suspect and recovering re-covering stolen property. All of the details of this case and the suspect are not known at this time and will need further investigation in-vestigation and follow up. On March 18 a police officer offi-cer responded to an area where several mailboxes which had been pried open and the mail scattered around. Officers arrived ar-rived and discovered multiple mailboxes at businesses in the area that had been pried open. Nothing reported missing out of any of the mailboxes at the time of this report, only damage to the mailboxes. Graffiti at the Dry Canyon Trailhead Parking Area was found and reported. i A police officer spoke to an employee at DoTerra, located at 814 North 2800 West, concerning two aluminum alumi-num ramps which were stolen from their loading dock. The employee told the officer the ramps were taken in the last few days, but they are unsure exactly when they were taken over the weekend. No suspect information at this time. An officer spoke to an employee of ABCO Glass, located at 519 North Geneva Road, concerning mail, check, and other pieces of valued paperwork stolen from their mailbox over the weekend. The employee advised he was contacted by Bountiful Police advising they had a suspect in custody after the suspect attempted at-tempted to cash their stolen check. The suspect was identified iden-tified and charged by Bountiful Bounti-ful Police. This case will be forwarded for follow up by investigations. A police officer responded respond-ed on a report of a delayed theft. The officer arrived and met with Pleasant Grove officers of-ficers who were out with a theft suspect. The suspect was arrested for theft. The suspect was transported and booked into Utah County Jail by Pleasant Grove. On March 20 an officer offi-cer made a traffic stop on a vehicle involved in a retail theft. The officer found stolen sto-len property, drugs, weapons and juveniles and children involved. The police officer arrested one adult female and one juvenile male. The officer offi-cer booked evidence and field tested drugs.' |
