The driver was cited and released for misdemeanor DUI, driver's license and traffic traf-fic violations. The vehicle was state impounded. On February 28 an officer responded on a report of criminal crimi-nal mischief involving damage to a vehicle. The officer found there is one possible suspect in this incident. This will be referred re-ferred to the Detectives. On February 28 officers responded to Macey's grocery store for a shoplifter in custody. The individual was cited for shoplifting and trespassed from Macey's. On March 1 an officer responded re-sponded to the area of 1000 South State St. in Pleasant Grove on a theft detail. An individual in-dividual was arrested for theft. An individual, who wished to remain confidential, called to report that a suspect, who had been drinking and was possibly DUI, was leaving a business. The officer stopped the suspect sus-pect for a moving violation and found him to be too impaired to drive. The driver was transported transport-ed to the police department and was later released on citation. An officer responded to the area of 1000 South State st. in Pleasant Grove on a theft detail. An individual was arrested for theft. On March 2 an officer responded re-sponded to Macey's on a report of an individual shoplifting. An officer went into the loss prevention pre-vention office and watched the suspect conceal items in his underwear un-derwear and in his pockets on the live video surveillance. The officer made contact with the individual in-dividual and could see one of the items as he watched him conceal . it in his pocket. The suspect was arrested and released on citation on scene. Police responded on a report re-port of a physical altercation between two male individual. Upon arrival an officer observed a male individual pull up in a vehicle and exit the passengers seat. The male had a deep laceration lac-eration to the throat and was transported by medical to Utah Valley ER. The suspect had left the scene. An officer responded on some graffiti sprayed on a fence. Photos were taken and there is no suspect information at this time. On March 3 officers responded re-sponded on a report of two juveniles juve-niles fighting. An officer found that one of the juveniles in-. in-. volved had left the area and was located a short time later. Both juveniles were cited for simple assault and referred to juvenile court. While on patrol in the area of a local neighborhood, contact was made with two juveniles parked in a church parking lot. After further investigation, both juveniles were arrested for drug related charges. They were taken tak-en to the police department and later released to their parents on citations. No furlher action taken. "Police" continued on Page 7 On February 25 an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle at 700 South Main St. for a traffic traf-fic violation. Two passengers of the vehicle were arrested for possession of drugs and possession posses-sion of paraphernalia. While working the high school dance, an officer took a report of a vehicle burglary. Shortly after that report, the officer of-ficer was advised of a second vehicle burglary for this incident. inci-dent. An officer responded to a local grocery store on reports of two juvenile females in custody for retail theft. Upon arrival the females were issued citations and released to their parents. No further action was taken. On February 26 an officer responded on a report of a theft of a motor. The officer made contact with the suspect who stated that he was planning on returning it and stated that he would have it back by the end of the week. The victim was advised ad-vised to contact police if it was not returned. An officer responded on a report of a delayed burglary. The officer found someone had entered the residence while the homeowners were gone. It appears ap-pears nothing was taken, but cupboards had been rummaged through. A reporting party called to report graffiti in the park. A vinyl vi-nyl fence and play set had been tagged with black spray paint and black marker. A TAG form was completed. No suspect information in-formation at this time. An officer was dispatched to a local roadway on reports of a possible DUI. Upon arrival in the area, the vehicle was located and the driver submitted to FST testing. The driver was found not to be impaired and released on scene. No further action was taken. A vehicle was stopped for a moving traffic violation. The driver was identified by means of name and date of birth and her driver's license photo on the state computer. The driver was found to have ingested controlled con-trolled substances and following administration of field sobriety tests, was found to be impaired. The driver submitted to a portable porta-ble breath test, but there was no evidence of alcohol influence, "Police" continued from Page 6 At the police department, an officer met with a complainant com-plainant who was reporting a theft of his handgun and money. The firearm was listed list-ed NC1C as a stolen firearm. Police stopped a vehicle ve-hicle for unsafe lane travel after it drove left of center. The driver was identified by means of Utah driver's license. li-cense. The driver was found to have been consuming alcohol alco-hol and following administration administra-tion of field sobriety tests, to be impaired. An intoxilyizer test was administered to the driver. The driver was cited, and released for misdemeanor misdemean-or DUI and traffic violations and the state impounded the vehicle. |
