The driver was Hispanic and did not speak English so an officer translated during this contact. The driver was found to have been consuming alco hol and following administra-tion of field sobriety tests, to be impaired. The driver was identified by means of name and date of birth. An intox-iliz- er test was administered and the driver was cited and released for traffic and DUI violations. There were no injuries involved. The officer will complete a 1)19 report for this accident. The driver was arrested for DUI. A report was made of a traffic stop resulting in the driver being arrested for DUI, warrants, and other charges. The passenger in (he vehicle was arrested for an alcohol of-fense. The driver was trans-ported to the Pleasant Grove Police Department and was later released on a citation. The driver was also able to post bail on the warrants. No further information. Northwest Pipe Company reported theft of copper wire and tools from their business. An individual reported a theft of an outboard motor. On July 6 an officer met with a complainant regarding a theft of items from his ga-rage. Officers responded to a de-layed burglary on Wednesday, July 7, on East State. Upon arrival officers made contact with the complainant's wife, who explained this occurred about one month ago. Officers responded to a lo-cal business on reports of a small amount of vandalism. The graffiti was photographed and has been added to this re-port. No suspect information is available at this time. No further action was taken. The police contacted the reporting partyvictim regard-ing the theft of a credit card that was sent to him by pri-vate courier. The card had not been used as of the time this report was made and the reporting party was in the process of canceling it. No suspects or evidence. A re-port was filed for information purposes only at this time due to a lack of suspect informa-tion and at the request of the reporting party because he Officers responded to a civil problem on Thursday, July 1. The officers spoke with the complainant reporting a theft. After getting the information from the complainant, this was determined to be a civil matter, not a theft. No further actions were taken. On Thursday, July 1, an of-ficer spoke with a complain-ant who was reporting a vehicle burglary. An officer spoke with a fe-male who stated that her vehicle had been broken into and that a radar detector and CD's were taken. There was no damage done to the vehicle. On July 2 an officer respond-ed to a local supermarket on reports of a female shoplifter being detained. The driver was identified by means of an Oregon driver's license and the officers found him to have been consuming alcohol. Fol-lowing administration of field sobriety tests, the driver was found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for DUI and an intoxilizer test was ob-tained. The driver's vehicle was state impounded. The driver was cited for misde-meanor DUI and traffic vio-lations and was released to a sober individual. A report was made that $700 cash was stolen from the report-ing party's residence. On July 3 an officer made contact by phone in regards to a theft of fuel detail. An individual reported a ve-hicle burglary and theft of her purse. An officer was dispatched on a possible delayed burglary. The officer found that while the homeowners were away, their daughter had let an individual into their home who was not supposed to be there. After finding that the daughter had let the male into the residence, no crime had been committed. The homeowners have fear of this individual that he may do some-thing to their home or grand-children. The officer referred the victims to the victims ad-vocate for a possible protective order. No further actions were taken. A report was made of an ag-gravated robbery involving the victim, who was robbed by two males with a knife. The sus-pects stole property from the victim, then left the area. The victim did suffer injuries from the assault. There is no suspect or witness information at this time. On July 4 officers responded to a report of a white Mitsubi-shi Mirage that was stolen from the front of the reporting party's residence. On July 6 an individual reported a theft of a wallet from their ve-hicle. The city parks department re-ported some criminal mischief in a park bathroom. An officer was dispatched on a report of a traffic accident involving only one vehicle with property damage only. The of-ficer found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and ran off the road into a ditch. Ann Cannon to Speak at Kiwanis Club Meeting The popular Deseret News columnist Ann Cannon will speak at the Pleasant Grove Kiwanis Club meeting held on Saturday, July 17, at 8 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Jacobs Se-nior Citizen Center, located at 242 W.200S. On July 7 a complainant, who is employed by Walmart, reported a vehicle burglary at Walmart. On July 8 a residence was vandalized by several unknown people. The reporting party, while driving around, thought they had located a possible sus-pect. However, during the in-vestigation it was found to not be the individuals. Officers will continue the investigation. On July 2 an officer ob-served a vehicle in the parking lot of the Lindon City Park after park curfew. The officer made contact with a male and female. One male was arrested and transported to the Utah County Jail. On July 3 an officer re-sponded to a delayed report of criminal mischief. The officer arrived and found someone had placed a firework inside their mailbox. Portions of the junk mail inside the mailbox re-ceived burn damage but no ma-jor damage. No other reports of this type of problem have been reported and this appears to be an isolated incident. An off-du-ty officer stopped a vehicle for a violation. Dur-ing a K-- 9 search of the vehicle, items of contraband were locat-ed. During a search of parties that were in the vehicle, several other items of contraband were located and seized. Three sus-pects were cited and released. On July 5 a report was made by an unknown individual who damaged a windshield of a vehicle with a rock. This report was delayed from July 1 , 2010. On July 6 police made a traffic stop on a vehicle for unsafe lane travel.
