Show PG Council Discusses Landscaping on 2000 West 100 North During Work Session Pleasant Grove City Council Coun-cil discussed landscaping on 2000 West north of State St. to 1 100 North during the city council coun-cil work session held Nov. 9, 2010. City Engineer Degen Lewis told the city council that they are planning the landscaping for 2000 West from State St. to 1 100 North. American Fork is doing the planning for the west side of the road and Pleasant Grove will be responsible for the east side of 2000 West. It was the suggestion of the city council that they let American Ameri-can Fork lead the way as more of it is in American Fork. Then Pleasant Grove can follow with the American Fork plan so it all will look more uniform. All kinds of options were discussed but no decisions were made. The council in general felt that they would like to see more green with planter strips, sidewalk space and so forth . Degen will talk with the property owners in the area about their preferences but they want it to be consistent with what American Amer-ican Fork does. In other matters, the first part of this meeting was devoted to a discussion on Social Media and Amplifying your voice. Holly Richardson led a discussion on this subject at the beginning of the council meeting. Holly noted that using social so-cial media is easy, wide spread, and rapid for distribution of your messages. She said everyone can participate in public dialogue and everyone can become an opinion leader. She added that everyone can become an opinion leader.
