Show $20 Million Set for Rods In 4 Corners Sen. Frank E. Moss, U-Utah, U-Utah, said the conference report re-port on the Regional Economic Econ-omic Development bill was adopted this week, which carried a modified version of the two Moss provisions. "The conference report as adopted included $100 million mil-lion to be divided evenly De-tween De-tween the five regions for transportation uses. This would mean $20 million far Four Corners to be used exclusively ex-clusively on the development develop-ment and planning of roads. This money is in addition to the amount authorized for training, grants and other functions of the commission," com-mission," Sen. Moss said. "The report carried a firm allotment of $255 million mil-lion for all five regions with not less than 10 per cent and not more than 25 per cent to be allotted to any one region, re-gion, with all money appropriated appro-priated to carry over until expended. "Roads . are very badlv needed in the Four Corners area and this will mean a great deal to the economic development of the area," Sen. Moss said. |
